Educational Training Specialists Announces Annual Professional Development Week July 11-15, 2011

Educational Training Specialists, a prominent provider of teacher training, will once again offer its Summer Professional Development Week on July 11-15, 2011 in Scottsdale, AZ. Anne Swigard, the company’s president, believes in the importance of offering teachers affordable professional development that will enhance their teaching practice and help them to get the recertification hours they need to continue teaching.
“Finding quality, yet affordable, training for teachers can be a challenge, especially in the summer months when teachers often have the time to devote to obtaining recertification hours,” says Anne Swigard, President of Educational Training Specialists, LLC. “We have concentrated our professional development into a single week to help those teachers who are traveling this summer – either to Phoenix for the Professional Development week, or outside the state.”
Each course covers a popular topic of educational training. The lineup for the week is as follows:

In some districts, ongoing teacher training is provided – especially in those districts that are designated as Title I, or that have a large amount of Title IIA funding. In smaller schools, charters, and often in parochial or private schools, teachers typically have to find teacher training on their own. With this in mind, ETS wanted to level the playing field for all teachers.
“I happened to be very blessed during my tenure as a classroom teacher, and as an employee in a large suburban school district in Phoenix. Much of the staff development I received was paid for by the district,” Swigard explains. “As I talked with teachers across the state, and across the country, it became apparent to me that teachers are often competing for the little money there is to enhance their teaching practice and gain recertification hours.”
Each course is only $ 99 for the 7.5-hour option, and $ 149 for the 15-hour option, but is reduced by 20% by using the code ‘twenty’ when selecting the courses. The total for the courses chosen can be broken into manageable payments with no additional cost. Optional Brandman University graduate credit is also available.
Swigard maintains that making life easier and more affordable for teachers is one of the main goals of Educational Training Specialists. “Teachers work so hard to help our students succeed. To help fellow educators gain knowledge in affordable ways is so rewarding.”
