Confiance Guardian Services has announced an “Asset and Inventory Management” feature to their existing feature rich Guardian system monitoring toolset. This new feature automates Cisco contract management by automatically tying serial numbers of their Cisco hardware to the appropriate SMARTServices contracts. Normally this information would be input to the system and then future contract changes would have to be manual.
Richard Collins, V.P. of Engineering at Confiance said, “This feature (Guardian Asset and Inventory Management feature) was specifically designed to bridge a very large gap in contract self service management. This feature was implemented to solve the time problem which every customer has to deal with when working with manufacturer contract renewals”.
